Wyck Godfrey on Breaking Dawn!

There have been a myriad of jokes thrown towards The Twilight Saga, but I doubt any will match the response that will surely be lodged when and if Breaking Dawn makes it to the big screen. The LA Times talked with Twilight Saga producer Wyck Godfrey about how on earth they could possibly make the final installment into a movie, and he lodged his … rather interesting thoughts.

Spoiler alert: Do not continue reading if you aren’t familiar with BD’s plot!

“As I’ve already written, it will be really hard to make Breaking Dawn into a movie. It’s a big, super-long horndog-fest with a bloody and gruesome birth, a lot of time with the wolves, a huge cast of supporting roles, and perhaps most importantly — a child who ages in the blink of an eye. Godfrey says: “It’s a work in process. The issue [of whether there will be one or two movies] is not going to be resolved until we get the full treatment and see whether it’s organic… It’s a very long single movie if it does become a single movie.” He went on to say that he doesn’t think Chris Weitz will return, and that whoever helms the piece will have to be good with both actors and effects, the latter most due to the big challenge: Renesmee.”

Michael Sheen interviews Ashley Greene!

Interview Magazine has a great new interview and photo shoot with Twilight Saga film actress Ashley Greene. Not only does Ashley answer questions about how she got into acting and how her audition (and eventual winning of the role) for Alice Cullen in Twilight came about, but these questions are asked by none other than her New Moon co-star, Michael Sheen. Check out the fun interview below:

“MICHAEL SHEEN: Okay. This is my first question. This is the only really serious one, and then the rest are quite funny. The first one is: As an elf, raised by humans, have you found a lot of discrimination against the fairy folk here in Hollywood?ASHLEY GREENE: Well, I think they’re just jealous that I sparkle and speak elfin and have cute little pointy ears.

SHEEN: It’s true.

GREENE: So, yes, there’s discrimination. But I really don’t care.

SHEEN: You do get described as pixie-like a lot. In my younger days, I used to get described as sort of elf-like. I think it’s probably a lot easier to deal with that if you’re a pretty girl, rather than a sort of average-looking boy.

GREENE: I’m sorry about your adolescence.

SHEEN: Thank you. Well, look, let’s take a second and go back to the beginning, Ashley Greene. You grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Is that correct?

GREENE: That is correct.

SHEEN: Now tell me about Jacksonville. What’s it like? And could you please sprinkle it with some alligator stories?

GREENE: I’ve only eaten fried alligator tail once.

SHEEN: How was it growing up there? Was school good? Or was it a bit of a trial?

GREENE: It was great. I mean, it was great until I realized that there was more out there. I went to a public high school with a magnet program for law and psychology. But right before my junior year, I decided that I wanted to leave and become an actress, so I graduated early and moved out to L.A. Now that I’m here, I can’t imagine living there.

SHEEN: What happened? You were doing law and psychology?

GREENE: Yeah. And I loved the classes. Everything was kind of set up to go on this course, which my parents absolutely loved; they were like, “Our daughter’s going to go to law school or become a psychologist!” And then out of nowhere, I pulled the acting card on them.”

Ok! Mag interviews Charlie Bewley

Ok! Magazine has a new interview with Charlie Bewley. Charlie talks about the differences in direction between New Moon and Eclipse, and how having different directors changed the tone. Read part of the interview below:

“He said: “They are very different directors. David understands what each scene needs to create the dark mood – absolute fine tuning. He might stop the scene halfway through and just tweak something before saying: ‘Go back, say that word again and I want you to put the emphasis on that’.

“It’s very controlled and when I was on set I found myself not being able to be as theatrically elaborate as I was with Chris’ film. But that’s exactly why David has been brought on board – to make this a more real film. Eclipse is going to be more real.”

But Charlie says Chris was happy to let the stars develop the characters themselves while filming New Moon.

He added: “Chris is someone who is massively organised in his work and he is meticulous in his preparation towards something, purely because the stuff he does is on such a grand scale and it was with New Moon.

“He scouted out Montepulciano the village in Tuscany used for the clock tower scene in New Moon, they visited every single village in Italy to find out the best place to shoot this thing and they got it just right.

“When it gets to set he knows he has done the hard work, really, he just needs to trust in everyone he has put around him and just very finely manipulate people.”

Julia Jones (aka Leah Clearwater) Talks Eclipse!

Radar Online has part two of their interview with Julia Jones up. In the interview, Julia talks about her favorite scene in Eclipse, what makes Leah as a wolf unique, filming the wolf scenes, the wolf pack’s favorite foods and the theme of Eclipse. Check out more below:

“Twilight actress Julia Jones can’t wait for Eclipse to come out, and neither can fans of the Twilight movies. In part two of our exclusive interview at The Grove in Los Angeles with Julia as she shopped for her cast members, she talked about her favorite scene in New Moon and what we’ll learn about her character in the third installment of the Twilight Saga.

As the only female member of the Wolf Pack, she distinguishes herself not with a pink bow on her wolf, but tells us her wolf “is smaller than the other boys and it’s light gray.” She said that the boy wolves are “huge!”

Just like the guy wolves and the vampires, Julia had some tough physical scenes while filming Eclipse. As she filmed her scenes of becoming a werewolf she described jumping up and landing on a mattress for the action. “I realized after 18 takes that I was landing on the ground and I had dirt on my chin. I couldn’t lift my arms for four days!”

Julia, who is currently starring in the Los Angeles play Palestine, New Mexico, told RadarOnline.com’s Alexis Tereszcuk about what the cast ate at craft services and what they did during their down time while filming Eclipse. “We ate a lot of chocolate, anything round that was throwable.” Julia said that Taylor Lautner has the best aim out of the bunch and “it got very competitive, how many grapes or chocolates could you get in someone’s mouth.”

Julia also described that she thinks the theme of Eclipse is immortality. “New Moon is about heartbreak. Eclipse is about immortality.””

What do you think of Eclipse so far?

PFach heads home for the holidays!

iVillage Entertainment had the opportunity to speak with Twilight Saga Peter Facinelli recently where he expressed just how much he looks forward to being home for the holidays and spending time with his family. Also in the new interview, Peter discusses his role as Carlisle Cullen and how he took keys from his own life and implemented them into his role, what his daughters think of the saga, what we can expect from Eclipse, and more.

“Have you had any crazy fan requests?
Yeah, you get the, “Can you bite me?” a lot. Once in awhile I’ll bite them on the wrist for a picture. It’s fun, you know. The whole series is fun to be a part of. It’s great that they’re so excited about these movies. It would be worse if they were throwing tomatoes at us, you know what I mean?Did you draw on your own fatherhood experience for your role as Carlisle Cullen?
Whenever you take on a role there are things you connect with and things you have to research, and for me, being a patriarch of a family came naturally. I have a family of my own and so I understood what it was like. So it was more about working on who Carlisle was as a person and where his travels have taken him and how to get 350 years onto the screen.

Did you take on a father-figure role with your younger castmates?
I think in the first movie I was more fatherly towards them, because when you meet up with the other actors you kind of see them as their characters and they take on traits of their characters. So everyone kind of fell into who they are in the family, and my role was the patriarch. But as they got to know me more, I became more like the older brother kind of figure.

Do you all really get along?
We’re pretty much a family on and off set. After work we enjoy each other’s company. We go out to dinners. We had this experience together. There were no egos involved when we started Twilight, and there are still no egos involved, and that’s kind of nice to see that people’s heads haven’t grown. They’re still the same people we started the journey with.

What vampire superpower do you wish you had in real life?
I’d love to be able to fly — that would be cool. But I don’t know if that’s a vampire power. I mean, Carlisle’s power is compassion, and I think I got the short end of the stick. I was like, “Can’t I be compassionate and fly?” You can’t really [be] like, “Stand back! I’m going to smite you with my compassion!”

Are your three daughters Twilight fans?
They all are. I’ve got a 12-year-old [Luca Bella], a 7-year-old [Lola Ray] and a 3-year-old [Fiona Eve], and they’ve all seen Twilight. The 12-year-old and the 7-year-old have seen New Moon, and it’s exciting to be a part of a movie that my family can actually be a part of and see.”

CG Society: “New Moon wolves are a howling success”

The CG Society has an amazing new feature on the CGI done for The Twilight Saga: New Moon – particularly the wolves. In this great new feature, they take a deeper look at the fur quality and coloring, the size of the wolves, the eyes and face, and much more. Check out a preview below:

“Eyes and Face

The book described the wolves as having eerily human eyes. “We were told early on that they literally they wanted us to plop the actors eyes into wolf, which always sounds like a good idea on paper but it does not work visually,” said Fredenburg, “so we had to play how much to accentuate them as human eyes and how much to push them towards wolf eyes. The eyelid shape around them is definitely wolf. For the eyeball itself we tended to play a little bit dark so they wouldn’t stick out as these funny white eyeballs in the head of the wolf.” Wolf eyes are iconic and easily recognizable. They have a very distinct eye shape and mysterious expression. “As soon as we put the human eyes in that it destroyed that iconic wolf look, so we tended to play it as subtle as possible to keep from distracting from the wolf.””
